Her

Tracing steps upon the light reflected.
I softly whispered her name,
as I swam;
in the depths of her.

I softly whispered:
"Bring to me,
her boundless ink. "
In her,
I will hide the vastness of worlds untwined.

I kissed the palms of her hands
floating tenderly inside of mine.

Dear woman,
your taste is thick.
Your taste is thick
of abhorrence and wine.

Your eyes,
bright puppets!
Holding blades
and sharp letters.
Strung in verse and mime.

Thanks for sharing, Carmen. While I’m not used to read poetry in English, I truly enjoyed your poem.

Thank you! It may be not so poetic in itself but I’m glad you enjoyed it.
